Hello Again!

Just want to tell you about a wonderful  opportunity i was given to be VIP on this wonderful site. (I've written about before).  I won the VIP status for the month of December 2012. SCHOOL IS OUT

Hi there!

     it's been a little crazy.  I just finished my second summer classes.  With that said a week off from school was so needed.  I traveled to New York to attend my brothers wedding  I had a fantastic time there, I wasn't quite ready to come back home However; I had too much to do and so I came back on time. Weddings bring out the competition in people  when they see the bouquet coming their way.
I'm taking a photography class this semester this should be so much fun

Love To paint

    i've beenn painting for about 5 months now and it has been so good. i'm always amazed at the reaction of other people when they see my paintings. mostly abstract paintings is what i'm busy painting for the moment. Every art class I take I learn somethng exciting and new.

Open Doors

     opportunity has a way of knocking when you need it.   All you must do is continue your art and your passion and it will find you!. 


 It is said that an artist must pay his or her dues.   I agree it seems to be working for me.


          I've seen it working for so many artists I've met so far I'm gonna keep going and keep listening for the next door.


  I have no idea where this opportunity is going to take me.   I pray it will take me to the fulfillment of my dreams.

Why don't people learn how to use the inbox?
if you have a negative critique of my art use the inbox please!
I'm not a fan of bashing other artists in public or on social networks.




And then this person another artist wanted my to fan their page.  Seriously?
your genre doesn't bother me at all your behavior does.  I thought of letting them know, however I value my time guess they will find themselves  un-fanned on yet another one of my sites.


      I'm too grown to waste my time on immature artists, cause i don't mind supporting the serious ones who just may need one tip from me and i'm no expert, and I seem to get questions all the time! if I know something or someone 
I have no problem sharing it.   


I didn't get this far on my own.    There is plenty of room at  the top. I have met so many wonderful artists,  so I guess I was bound to come across one  that  doesn't like me or my art  which is fine
I will lose no sleep over them believe me.  I'll fan you whether you fan me back or not grow up people time is moving and life is too short.

Time Is of The Essence

I didn't know it was so much work being an Artist going Indie.  It is truly a task.  I've got a new found respect for the Indie Artists, Artists of all genres.  


This is a journey which has given me so much joy.  I've met so many wonderful Artists.  I found out how much work is in this business and how fast I needed things to be in place.  I found myself on my laptop 6-8 hours a day.  I found out how many social networks were out there and they're still growing!.  


        Once I got all signed up on the main sites face book, myspace, twitter, etc.   then I had to get my lyrics and music. tracks are all over the web.  So many free tracks available on various sites you can read about that on my other blog:

Life Goes On

I't a beautiful day!.
 As a little girl  I continued to hear the words " take time to smell the roses".  Life is going on all the time . I was eating an apple one day, the apples had been on my table for about a week, I took it to school with me and during class I took a bite out of it to my surprise there was a fully formed seed inside that had already started growing right inside the apple. 


 I was amazed this had never happened to me before.  I though about the things that had been happening to me and it all pointed to one thing. Life is still going  on .


I take time to enjoy the birds singing so very early in the morning.  I listened to a bird one day singing it's heart out.  Who and what was this little bird singing to so passionately too? I will never forget that bird who had nature as it's audience and the world as it's stage.


     Take time to stop and smell the roses and listen for the song of a lifetime.

Welcome to my blog page.  I am a brand new Indie Artist.  I enjoy the spoken word  very much since it allows me to express my poetry. I've always wanted to be an independent Artist so that it will remain the way I want it to.  It is my desire that my expressions will make you think and see in a different light.  May you be encouraged and enlightened by my tracks.

N.Y.U.R.

     It has been so much fun engaging with the other Artists on  New York Underground Radio.  An internet radio show that I've been talking about .  They have been very supportive and encouraging.  Especially Dollar Bill the  Program Manager!

3 months ago I wouldn't have even imagined that i would get airplay of any kind.  I give God the glory and to him alone, I found out  that no matter what you want to do there is a way to get it done.  It may not be the traditional way , but there is a way and it seems to find me.


     As I've said before you have to keep doing ya thing and they will find you, if you are not find able then you can't be found.      I'm ususally on live in the chat rooom tues & fri 9 p.m.

SPOKEN WORD POETRY

     I absolutely love Spoken Word.  It's amazing that any thing you could love,
is being done in the world somewhere, Oh , thank God for technology.

    Wonderful are those who can use words to inform, interpret, teach,
and inspire the hearers.  It's so deep at times it makes you take a good look at ones self and reflect on the words being recited from a place deep within the soul of the poet, the one who has paid a price just so you
will be more than entertained, enlightened is the word that comes to mind!

     The spoken word can come at a time when we are searching for answers.  I watch carefully when the faces of those who attend begin to see as the poet sees.  Snapping their fingers because they agree with the poet about the life issues that have been presented and they too want to even preach that same spoken word ,because truth surely reigned down through a vessel known as mankind. and Man spoke to man in a forum that he or she  was not  afraid to look at themselves to see if they fit the bill.  The spoken word may it never die but live on in the places set up to let it be free!.

is passion.  The fire  you feel when you do what you do.
People ask me  the poems how do you come up with
these poems?.

My answer, I draw from the things that
are happening in life.  Many times it's the injustice or
the feeling I experience when I see the underdog being
shut down.

  It's with this I go into poetry mode!
how can I voice the very words they are feeling right
now and It goes from there.   It basically takes on a life
of its own. I'm just  the instrument being used to write it down
